Payout Policy
Effective September 8, 2026
This page summarizes how and when you get paid on ScrollEarn. It supplements, and does not replace, our Terms of Service, which govern payouts in full.
1. Cash-out threshold
Standard members can request a payout once their balance reaches $10.00. ScrollEarn Plus subscribers ($6.99/month) can cash out instantly at any positive balance, with no minimum.
2. Payout methods
| Method | Notes |
|---|---|
| PayPal | Sent to the PayPal email you provide. You must control that PayPal account. |
| Gift cards (via Tremendous) | A range of retailer gift cards, delivered by email or SMS through our payout partner Tremendous. |
3. Timing and holds
- First payout: held for 48 hours from the time you request it, plus a standard fraud review, before funds are released.
- Later payouts: typically processed within a few business days, though we may apply an additional hold if your account shows unusual activity (see Terms of Service, Section 5).
- Plus subscribers: instant cash-out is available once a completion has been confirmed by the Partner Network — see "Reversals" below for what happens if that confirmation is later withdrawn.
4. Reversals
Credits and payouts are provisional until the Partner Network that supplied the survey, offer, or video confirms the completion as valid. If a Partner Network later reverses a completion — for example, because of a data-quality flag, a disqualified respondent, or suspected fraud — ScrollEarn may deduct the corresponding amount from your current balance. If a payout has already been sent for a reversed completion, we may recover the amount from future earnings or, if needed, by other lawful means. Reversals are determined by the Partner Network and are generally outside ScrollEarn's control.
5. Taxes
If your total earnings in a calendar year reach or exceed the IRS reporting threshold for miscellaneous income, we will ask you to complete a Form W-9 before releasing further payouts, and we will issue a Form 1099 to you and the IRS as required. You are responsible for reporting your ScrollEarn earnings on your own tax return regardless of whether a 1099 is issued.
6. If a completion didn't credit
Partner Networks confirm completions on their own schedule, and each has an "attribution window" — a period during which a completed survey or offer can still be matched back to your account. If you completed an activity but don't see a credit:
- Wait up to 24–72 hours — most completions post automatically within this window, and some Partner Networks take longer to confirm than others.
- Check that you completed the activity fully (some surveys screen respondents out partway through and do not pay for incomplete or disqualified attempts).
- If it still hasn't credited after the window has passed, email mail@scrollearn.com with the offer/survey name, the approximate time you completed it, and any confirmation screen details you remember. We will look into it with the relevant Partner Network, though final crediting decisions are made by that network.
7. Account holds and closures
If your account is under fraud review, we may pause pending payouts until the review is complete. If your account is closed for a violation of our Terms of Service (such as multi-accounting, bot use, or survey dishonesty), any unpaid balance connected to the violation may be forfeited. If you close your account voluntarily and are not under review, a balance of $10 or more will be paid out before closure, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
8. Currency and fees
All balances and payouts are denominated in US dollars. ScrollEarn does not charge a fee to cash out via PayPal or Tremendous gift cards; PayPal's own account terms may apply separately to funds once they reach your PayPal account.
9. Questions
Email mail@scrollearn.com with any payout question.
